The Band of Mamas Blog was created one winter evening during a middle of the night feed with my son Brooks. I was longing for a way to connect with other Mamas. I couldn’t sleep that night. I had so many things I wanted to get started on. This is where my blog came to life.
Over the last few years I have begun to see what all the fuss was about. About why being a Mama is [quite possibly] singlehandedly the most amazing gift I have ever been given the privilege to receive. Everyday is a blessing that allows me so many things. I learn. I cry. I rejoice. I laugh. I hug. I am continually reminded to give thanks. And repeat.
I value telling my stories; I love hearing yours. This is what the Band of Mamas is all about. We each have these unique and special stories that belong to us. But when we open up this vulnerability and begin to share these stories–from one Mama to the next, is when we see how truly connected we are.
So, you might be a grandma soaking up the newfound love of your grandkids. Or you might be a new Mama, in the thick of the sleep depriving nights where you smile at your newborn. Or you’re like me. Trying to find something to keep you sane while you navigate these terrible twos. To me it doesn’t matter where you are in this journey we Mamas go through, but please know that I’m glad you’re here. And if you have a story to share, please reach out to me! The more we know about one another, the wider our Band grows.
XO,
Linds
